It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Stephen E. Comly, a respected leader in the auction and appraisal industry and a cornerstone of Comly Auctioneers & Appraisers.
Steve dedicated nearly five decades to the profession he loved. Since joining the family business in 1977 after graduating from St. Joseph’s University, he became one of the most respected auctioneers and appraisers in the country. Over the course of his remarkable career, Steve participated in more than 35,000 auction sales and prepared or supervised over 123,000 appraisals, serving businesses, banks, attorneys, and trustees across the United States.
Beyond his many professional accomplishments, Steve will be remembered for his leadership, knowledge, integrity, and the lasting relationships he built with colleagues, clients, and friends.
His legacy will live on through the industry he helped shape and the countless people whose lives and careers he touched.
